The Service Menu Page Every Lima Hair Salon Needs in 2026

Clients pick a salon at night, on their phones, before you ever hear from them. A written-out service menu page is the one thing your website has to get right.

What a client finds at 9:40 on a Tuesday

Someone in Shawnee is on the couch, thinking about going lighter before the holidays. They aren't going to call. You're closed, and they don't want to talk to anybody yet anyway. They want three answers: do you do it, roughly what does it cost, and how long will they be in the chair.

How people look that up has shifted. Pew Research Center reported in June that six in ten U.S. adults say they read the AI summaries that sit at the top of search results. About half now use AI chatbots, up from a third in 2024, and searching for information is the most common thing they do with them. An earlier Pew analysis of real browsing data from March 2025 found that when an AI summary appeared on a Google results page, people clicked a regular search result in 8% of visits. Without a summary, it was 15%.

Put those together. When a summary shows up, fewer people click through to any website, so the ones who do reach yours matter more. And our read, as people who build these sites: a person skimming on a phone and a piece of software writing a summary have the same limitation. Neither can use information you never wrote down. For most salons, what's written down is a homepage, a gallery, and a Services page that says "Cuts, Color, Styling. Call for pricing."

The one page worth getting right

So here's the specific move. Build a real service menu page, service by service, where each entry answers what a new client would ask at your front desk:

  • What the service is in plain words, and who it suits
  • A starting price or an honest range, and what pushes it higher
  • How long to plan for, start to finish
  • Whether it needs a consultation first, like a color correction
  • A booking link right there, so the decision and the appointment happen in the same sitting

You know all of this cold. The trouble is writing it. Twenty-some services, each needing a clear paragraph, and every hour spent typing is an hour away from the chair. So the page never gets written, or it got written three years ago and half the prices are wrong.

Where the AI earns its keep

This is the job Paglow's Website service is built for. You don't start from a blank page or a template with someone else's stock photos. You start by answering questions about your salon: what you offer, your price ranges, who on your team does what, which clients you want more of.

From those answers, AI generates a website spec, meaning a plain document that lists which pages the site needs and what each one has to accomplish. Then comes a design direction, then the copy for every page, then the live site on the Paglow platform. The menu page arrives as a full draft in your own terms, one entry per service.

That changes your part of the work from writing to editing. Fixing a price in a paragraph that already exists takes seconds. Composing that paragraph between a root touch-up and a blowout never happens.

Two cautions. First, you're the authority, not the software. Read every price and every time estimate before it goes live, because a wrong price on your website is worse than no price. Second, keep it honest. If balayage on long, thick hair runs well past your starting number, say so on the page. The client who books after reading that shows up with the right expectations, and that conversation is easier for everybody.

One more benefit shows up later. When each service lives in exactly one place on the site, a January price increase or a new stylist is a small edit, not a project you keep putting off.

If you want to try this, start with a list. Write down your ten most-booked services and the questions new clients ask about each one. That list is most of what a good spec needs, and it's the first thing we'd ask you for at Paglow Automations here in Lima.
